On Raw they showed footage about John Cena's injury and his surgery that took place and Triple H was one of the many people that got to talk about John during this period so the video and a few HQ caps have been added to the site of this part of the show. Hope you enjoy!
When you’re at the top of your game, there’s a target on your back. This is the world of WWE Champion Triple H, who never backs down from a challenge. However, at Cyber Sunday, The Cerebral Assassin will be facing the unknown as he defends his title against an opponent of YOUR choosing.
Text JEFF to 44993 for Jeff Hardy Text KOZLOV to 44993 for Vladimir Kozlov Text TRIPLE to 44993 for a Triple Threat Match featuring Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov
Even though the champion doesn’t know whether he will face Hardy, Kozlov, or both, The Game has become intimately familiar with each of his potential opponents in recent weeks.
At No Mercy, Hardy came very close to toppling The King of Kings. And, in an unlikely pairing on the Sept. 26 edition of SmackDown, Triple H & his No Mercy opponent joined forces in tag team action. At Unforgiven, Hardy faced The Game in a Five-Man WWE Championship Scramble Match, which saw Hardy become interim WWE Champion, if only for a few moments.
This week Triple H stays at the #1 position of the Power 25.
After a brutal match at No Mercy, The Game still sits atop the SmackDown roster and the P25 as WWE Champion. But, thanks to Jeff Hardy, Triple H was laid out at the end of SmackDown via a Twist of Fate.
When WWE Champion Triple H appeared on Good Day New York last week to promote SmackDown’s move to MyNetwork TV, one of the hosts called him a wrestler. Triple H told them he’s not a wrestler and said he is a Superstar. The hosts asked him what happens if they call him a wrestler and he said then they would have to wrestle.
Kelly Kelly and Triple H recently filmed the commercial for the upcoming WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 video game, which is set to be released Tuesday, November 9. "It was really, really cool," Kelly said. "I got to work with Triple H and we did a little skit, so we’ll have to see the finished product. It was fun!" Diva Dish also has notes on Candice Michelle celebrating her birthday last week while on tour (but nearby her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Victoria's recent promotional trip to Japan, Eve Torres' brother winning $100,000 on Fox's popular game show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, and more.
Triple H got a slightly bigger pop for his ring entrance, but Hardy got a slightly bigger pop during the intros. This split of the cheering continued until the last half of the match when Hardy became the overwhelming crowd favorite. The crowd really came alive during this match and continued during the Ladder Match.
WWE Champion Triple H survived the fast-paced, high-octane attacks of No. 1 contender Jeff Hardy to retain his title at No Mercy in a back-and-forth match that saw both competitors give all they had in their golden encounter.
After weeks of each Superstar gaining momentum toward their showdown, and Triple H claiming that Hardy could not win “the big one,” the high-flying Hardy did all he could to dethrone The King of Kings – coming up short once again in his bid to become the new champion. In the end it was The Game showing why he is a 12-time World Champion, using his ring savvy to reverse a pin by Hardy after a Swanton Bomb to put down Hardy and his championship aspirations.
The WWE Universe overwhelmingly showed their devotion to Jeff Hardy with their text voting throughout the night, giving Hardy 72 percent of the vote for who they thought would win the match; but The Game was quick to point out in a pre-match face-to-face interview with his No. 1 contender that text results don’t win championships – a credo he made a harsh reality for Hardy in the ring.
After the match, however, as Triple H celebrated his victory in the locker room area, the champion once more came face-to-face with Vladimir Kozlov, who has been a thorn in the side of both The Game and Hardy in recent weeks. Though the two did not come to blows, it is clear that the Moscow Mauler believes the competition he has been looking for resides with the WWE Champion as he wished The Game a “congratulations.” Will Kozlov get an opportunity to prove himself against the measuring stick of sports-entertainment? Or will Hardy find a way to get one more chance at the “brass ring?
